It All Began Here
Welcome to our "Jolly 1" vintage camper conversion page. After being inspired at a conference by Santa Mac and sharing of his Santa’s Magical Christmas Cottage in Wisconsin, friends and fellow entertainers, Jim and Victor, envisioned a mobile cottage on wheels! Our brainstorming led to the search for a vintage camper to convert. We landed upon this 1969 Twilight Regal 17 camper and the transformation process began. You could say it took from “Christmas in July” to Christmas 2025 for the conversion to become a reality. It has truly become a magical space for visits with Santa! July 15, 2025 Update: The initial purchase and interior layout.
July 25, 2025 Update: Demo begins and repairs of water damage in the rear cargo area and resealing the back window.
August 4, 2025 Update: Demo and repair work on water damage in the front end, resealing some windows and replacing the front panel with an upgrade to diamond plate aluminum.
August 8, 2025 Update: Floor and ceiling work and wheel wells that will need some TLC!
August 14, 2025 Update: Replacing the porch light, floor repairs at the door and sealing up the old furnace vent.
August 26, 2025 Update: Interior door structure damage due to water rot is more severe than expected. Had to do a complete rebuild with foam panel insulation replacing the batt insulation and holes sealed. Jelousie windows will be replaced with single pane of plexiglass for more inviting, open appeal.
November 30, 2025 Update: Launching our first private family visit with Santa and then public opening. The Jolly 1 Camper is a reality!
